# Inline editing workaround

At the moment, there isn’t a way for your users to edit your list layouts, without having to click into the detail view.

There is a workaround to achieve this for your users with action buttons.

In this example, we want users to update their email addresses in the list view without having to click into the detail view.

To achieve this, an action button can be created in Edit Layout -

Once the button has been created, this can be toggled on and is ready to use -
