How do I get rid of this?
Hey Margaret,
It looks like you have the layout set to ‘start in edit mode’. If you go into the layout editor > ‘edit the layout’ > and click the 3 vertical dots, you can uncheck and disable this setting.
You can get rid of the ‘edit’ button all together by disabling update permissions for the table.

+1 I faced the same - might be good to give context to what that does. I thought it would save me a few clicks to go to edit layout
