When I add a new record from the record list, I don’t see the new record appear in the related list. But it does appear in the main table. What am I doing wrong?

Is you record lists set to show ‘all records’? (see photo)
If so, please check which layout you displaying. In the above example, I am showing the ‘upcoming events’ layout which has a visibility filter set on it.
Please check that the new record you’ve added matched the conditions for the layout you’ve selected. Sounds like the ‘main table’ where the new record does appear is not the same layout shown in the record list.
